I have been producing images for 18 years, I have a BTEC diploma in Photography and an upper second class degree in Film & English studies from the UEA, Norwich.
I have recently switched to digital photography, investing in a Canon EOS 400D, although many of the images here are shot on film.
I used traditional darkroom techniques, but I also scanned in my colour slide and black and white film. I shot almost exclusively in colour on Fuji Velvia 100 slide film and in monochrome on Ilford FP4 and Delta.
My subject matter reflects the affinity that I feel for the ever changing landscape of Dartmoor, the open moor and the secluded wooded river valleys.
Here you can view and buy my prints, thanks for looking!
Here in these lowlands,
I turn and you call,
Your voice comes across the miles,
Reaching me at last
Your bracken filled hills resound around these walls,
Your rivers swirl and heal my pain,
Your oak filled greenwoods wait for my laughter.
Painful it is leaving mine here;
But your groves and hills have become my family,
Nestling here in sheltered sleep,
Your stone forest sings my dreams awake.
