Welcome
Images Of Dartmoor and the westcountry in Colour and Black and White
Rachel Burch BA Hons
Landscape Photographer
Living & Working on Dartmoor
I have been producing images for 20 years, I have a BTEC diploma in Photography and an upper second class degree in Film & English studies from the UEA, Norwich.
I have recently switched to digital photography, investing in a Nikon D200, although some of the images here are shot on film.
I used traditional darkroom techniques, but I also scanned in my colour slide and black and white film. I shot almost exclusively in colour on Fuji Velvia 100 slide film and in monochrome on Ilford FP4 and Delta.
My subject matter reflects the affinity that I feel for the ever changing landscape of Dartmoor, the open moor and the secluded wooded river valleys.
I also write poetry to accompany my images these are avaliable to buy in book form, some poems appear on this site with my photographs.
Here you can view and buy my prints, and book courses thanks for looking!
I also offer one to one and group tuition out in the field.
