Southwest Coastline
Bossiney Bay, North Cornwall
I walked into you that sunny May day,
The ocean lapped behind me,
Oblivious was I, in my darkness.
Your womblike walls welcomed me,
Black dripping stone - barefoot light fading
The power of the sea,
Still remained in your walls,
I knelt childlike in your heart
Crouching fragile waiting.
Time stretched out I and know not where it ran,
Hands shaking I cast a circle in your sand.
Your darkness held mine steady
Your dripping became my heart song…
Opening eyes light poured in…
Emerging initiated - reborn,
Fragile floating skin stretched screaming tight………..
Then the feel of sand on my feet,
Salt in my veins
Waves in my head,
You found where I was lost;
And I will float forever on your dream waves;
Dripping silent, power filled, sacred place.
