Pew Tor, Dartmoor

A view of Pew or, near Tavistock on a Spring day.

Two years have passed since I first walked you
That summers day,
Never knew that I would be so close, so soon,
I looked through your window of sweet freedom ,
Your rocks gave me the strength;
To move my mountains of fear,
Made them into endless summer filled fields.
Standing with you now, I smile,
Familiarity, safety, awed inspiration echoes in your grey.
Now my songs swirl from you up to heaven,
And rain falls from me like tears……..
